Shan and I are back in the United States after a month long journey that included almost 3 weeks in South Africa with our good friends Joel, Alison, Peter, and Bess. If you ever get a chance to visit SA, and Cape Town in specific, don’t think twice about jumping on the opportunity. It really is the most beautiful place I have ever been. The Spanish victory in the World Cup only added to what has to been one of the best 4 weeks in my life. I decided to shoot only film while in Africa, and thus have a lot of scanning to do. So over the next week or so, I’ll post a few shots every day that document our trip chronologically. Enjoy a few shots from the beginning of what was an amazing adventure.
Waiting patiently in the Houston Airport. Not one of my favorite life experiences.
Sunrise in Doha, Qatar
The mountains of South Africa
A vineyard near Stellenbosch
Can I go wine tasting every day?
Chapman’s Peak drive. The most insanely beautiful road I’ve ever seen.
The golf cart we drove for 3 weeks.
Sunset on the day that the Bafana Bafana bowed gracefully out of the tournament with a 2-1 victory over France
Life in a township
More amazingness, coming tomorrow!
